Terms & Conditions


Important Note: All bookings with Joyful Events are subject exclusively to the following terms and conditions. These terms and conditions will become legally binding upon the acceptance of a quotation via email, phone, or letter, or upon payment of the Deposit, whichever occurs first. When you accept our quotation, you will enter into a legally binding contract with us that includes the following terms and conditions.

Please note these terms and conditions apply to all different staff that work for Joyful Events. (The job role may be different depending on what service we are providing to you).


1. Definitions

  • 1.1. โ€œBooking Dateโ€ means the date you accept our quotation whether your acceptance is made by email, by telephone, or by letter or by paying the deposit (whichever occurs first).
  • 1.2. โ€œBank Accountโ€ means our bank account in the name of Joyful Events, the details of which are specified in our quotation.
  • 1.3. โ€œDepositโ€ means the deposit specified in our quotation and referred to in clause 4.1 below.
  • 1.4. โ€œEventโ€ means the event or function specified in our quotation.
  • 1.5. โ€œEvent Dateโ€ means the date specified in our quotation for the event.
  • 1.6. โ€œQuotationโ€ means our written quotation in respect of an Event sent by us to you by email.
  • 1.7. โ€œusโ€, โ€œourโ€ or similar expression means Joyful Events (operating via https://joyfulevents.uk/).
  • 1.8. โ€œyouโ€, โ€œyourโ€ or a similar expression means the person we have spoken to/the client.

2. Services

  • 2.1. We will provide the number of staff specified in our quotation to provide services at the event subject to these terms and conditions.
  • 2.2. Our staff provide the following services: meeting and greeting your guests, serving food and drinks, participating in any games you may have planned, posing for photographs with you and your guests, and generally hosting you and your guests.
  • 2.3. While we will endeavour to provide you with staff who match your preferences, the selection of staff to provide the services remains at our sole discretion. You will not be entitled to any refund or reduction if we are unable to provide staff matching any preferences specified by you.
  • 2.4. Our staff are self-employed independent contractors and are not our employees.
  • 2.5. You agree to treat our staff in a non-discriminatory manner and you will not request, encourage or (in so far as it may be in your control) permit any staff member to do or omit to do anything at the event:
    • 2.5.1. Which is unlawful or illegal; or
    • 2.5.2. Which is unsafe (whether to the staff member or any other person); or
    • 2.5.3. With which the staff member is uncomfortable.
  • 2.6. In the event of any breach of the clauses stated above, our staff will be entitled to leave the event immediately and you will not be entitled to any refund of any charges paid.
  • 2.7. It is the responsibility of the person who has booked the service to provide a venue that is private, away from the general public and where there are no people under the age of 18.
  • 2.8. In the event that you may book for the wrong date or provide an incorrect address, Joyful Events cannot be held responsible. You will not be entitled to any money back or additional bookings free of charge.
  • 2.9. Joyful Events reserves the right to amend or cancel any booking. This includes changes to dates and times. In the unlikely occurrence that we do cancel a booking, customers may be offered an alternative booking time, date, or service, subject to availability. If we are unable to provide an alternative, a full refund will be issued.

3. Adult Nature of Services

  • 3.1. You acknowledge that you have reviewed the photographs posted on our website at https://joyfulevents.uk/ and are familiar with the nature of the uniform which will be worn by your staff at the event. All our staff are over 18 years of age.
  • 3.2. You confirm that you and your guests at the Event will be 18 years of age or older and that your guests will not be offended or embarrassed by the extent of the nakedness of our staff member(s).
  • 3.3. Joyful Events does not accept any responsibility for any member of the event being under 18 years old; this is the sole responsibility of the lead booking name to ensure this is fulfilled.
  • 3.4. Games involving food or anything that involves guests consuming drinks and/or food are not advised as these can pose a risk of choking. If guests decide to play these games themselves then it is at their own risk and against the advice of Joyful Events.
  • 3.5. We have a wide range of experience in hosting mixed and gay events but to ensure that we select a suitable model for your group, you must let us know 14 days prior to the booking if any males will be in attendance.

4. Payment Terms

  • 4.1. A minimum non-refundable deposit payment of ยฃ30.00 or ยฃ50.00 will be required for all bookings; this deposit amount may vary per activity. The remaining balance is due no less than 14 days before the booking takes place. If your booking is in less than 14 days you will be required to pay the non-refundable full balance at the time of booking.
  • 4.2. Please note that we will not confirm your booking until you have paid your Deposit.
  • 4.3. Payments are to be made via the link in your confirmation email. All major debit or credit cards are accepted excluding American Express. Additionally, we accept ApplePay.

5. Changes & Cancellations

  • 5.1. If after the Booking Date, you wish to change the time there will be a ยฃ20.00 administration fee.
  • 5.2. If you wish to modify the date of a booking more than 14 days prior to the event, there will be a ยฃ30 or ยฃ50 administration fee. If you wish to modify the date of a booking less than 14 days prior to the event, then all monies paid are non-refundable and a new booking must be created.
  • 5.3. If you wish to change the Event Address and it is within a 5-mile radius of your original address then there is no charge. If you wish to change the location further, there will be a ยฃ30 admin fee plus additional travel charges depending on the location.
  • 5.4. If we are able to accommodate a change to the time, date or location of the event, such change will only be implemented after the additional charge has been paid.
  • 5.5. If at any time (including during the event itself), you wish to extend the number of hours for which you require the services, you need to contact us immediately. If we are able to provide the additional hours, you agree to pay our charges for those additional hours. Payment for the additional hours should be made payable either over the phone or via bank transfer ASAP.
  • 5.6. The number of guests can be modified at any time up to 14 days prior to a booking. You will not be able to modify numbers less than 14 days before your event.
  • 5.7. If for any reason you wish to cancel this booking please note that your deposit is non-refundable. There will be an administration fee for any amendment made to your booking. If you wish to cancel with 14 days or less until your event then all monies paid are non-refundable.

6. โ€˜No Showsโ€™ and Delays

  • 6.1. In the event that the staff member is delayed in arriving at your event at the time booked, the period for which they provide the services will be extended by the length of time for which they were late (and if this is not practical in the circumstances, we will provide a pro-rata refund of your payment to us but we shall have no further liability to you for any claims).
  • 6.2. In the event that the staff member does not show up to your event, we will provide a pro-rata refund of your payment to us but we shall have no further liability to you for any further claims.

7. Complaints

  • 7.1. In the unlikely event that you have any complaints about the services provided, you should contact us as soon as possible (preferably during the event via the contact number on your quotation) but in any event within 48 hours of the event date. We may not be able to deal with complaints made after this time. We require the person who booked our service to contact us and your booking reference number will be needed.

8. Exclusion & Limitation of Liability

  • 8.1. Given the low charges that we offer for the provision of services, we need to exclude or limit certain forms of legal liability.
  • 8.2. We do not accept any liability for:
    • 8.2.1. Any damages for disappointment or inconvenience; or
    • 8.2.2. Any special, consequential or indirect damages or loss of any nature, which you and/or your guests may suffer, directly or indirectly, as a result of any breach of contract, negligence, tort or other default by us or our staff.
  • 8.3. Where our liability is not excluded under the previous clause, then our liability is limited to the amount of the total charges paid by you to us in relation to the services concerned.
  • 8.4. Without limiting the generality of the preceding sub-clauses, we accept no liability for any offence or embarrassment caused to you or any of your guests at the event by the nature of the uniform that our staff will wear or any aspects of the staff member’s nakedness.
  • 8.5. The above clauses do not exclude or limit our liability for:
    • 8.5.1. Any death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
    • 8.5.2. Any fraud on our part.
  • 8.6. Nothing in these terms and conditions affects any statutory rights that you may have as a consumer.

9. Photographs

  • 9.1. If you send us any photographs taken at the event you unconditionally and irrevocably agree that we may post those photographs on our or on third-party websites or include these photographs in our brochures or other marketing materials. If you have not taken such photographs yourself, you agree that you have the unconditional and irrevocable agreement of the person who took the photographs to such use.

10. Governing Law

  • 10.1. These terms and conditions are governed in all respects by English law.
